THE LOWDOWN
WALES
Wales were dreadful during the Six Nations as they managed just a solitary success against Italy. The Welsh come into this Rugby World Cup with just two wins to their name in their last 10 outings and were hammered by South Africa in their last match in what was a damaging way to come into this tournament.
FIJI
Fiji’s preparation for the RWC ended on a perfect note as they got the better of England at Twickenham. They will be on a huge high after that shock success and will believe they can test Wales here having won five of their last six outings.
THE PREDICTION
Wales need to be careful in their opening game as they take on a buoyant Fiji outfit. The Fijians arrive on a good run of form and claimed the scalp of England in their last game, leaving them on a real high. They boast plenty of power and pace throughout their side and with Wales struggling for form this year, it is worth siding with the Fijians on the handicap.
