THE LOWDOWN
AUSTRALIA
Australia put their poor run of form behind them as they got the better of Georgia in their opening game of the Rugby World Cup but they will need to improve if they are to make it back-to-back successes. Ben Donaldson accounted for 25 of his side’s 35 points in that game and the fullback is likely to be integral once again.
FIJI
Fiji pushed Wales all the way and had a chance to win the game with the final play of the game but fell agonisingly short. They cannot afford to dwell on that disappointing outcome with a big response needed here as the Fijians know that a win may be needed in this game or their hopes of advancing to the knockout stages could be dashed.
THE PREDICTION
Australia were too good for Georgia as they ended their losing streak at five matches but this is a tougher assignment as they take on Fiji. In what was arguably the best game of the opening round of matches, the Fijians were brilliant as they almost pulled off an upset against Wales and with them likely feeling hard done to on the back of that loss, they can build on their performance to keep this game close.
