THE PREDICTION
Saracens sat out last weekend’s Premiership action as the odd team out, giving them more time to recover from a shock 32-30 defeat at London Irish two weeks ago. Their third league defeat in five looks to have given an almost unassailable lead to next opponents Leicester Tigers in the regular season table now and they could well find themselves in third place behind Harlequins here as the reigning champions play on Friday. This huge clash should be a thriller but likely of the tight and tetchy variety if their previous meeting is anything to go by, with Leicester just sneaking the win 13-12 last October in poor conditions. The league leaders beat Gloucester 35-23 last Saturday to make it four wins on the spin in the league but they have lost two of their last three away games in the Premiership and Sarries can be backed cautiously as the outright victors here.
