THE PREDICTION
Saracens overcame a spirited fight from Cardiff in their Challenge Cup play-off last Sunday, eventually coming through the winners 40-33. They could pull within two points of leaders Leicester Tigers if reigning champions Harlequins manage to do them a favour on Saturday but they look well capable of winning this exciting clash at home to Exeter Chiefs with or without that extra motivation. Exeter lost 26-10 at Munster in their Champions Cup quarter-final second leg last Saturday to crash out of the competition 34-23 on aggregate and they have lost two of their last four matches across all competitions. Back-to-back defeats for Exeter on the road at struggling Worcester in the Premiership and more recently Munster suggests Saracens should be considered solid favourites here but taking them to cover a cautious -5 seems sensible nonetheless.
