THE PREDICTION

Bristol Bears have not played a competitive fixture since the start of the month after their Champions Cup fixtures at home to Scarlets and away at Stade Francais were both postponed. They will have had plenty of time to gear up for what could be a stunning upset on Boxing Day, with travelling Leicester Tigers still unbeaten after 13 matches across all competitions. Steve Borthwick’s winning machine continues to edge further and further away from Saracens and they get the benefit of playing earlier on Sunday to extend that gap even further with a win. Bristol have been improving in recent months after a dreadful start but if the Top 14 leaders Bordeaux could not stop them too weeks ago in the Champions Cup it seems unlikely that Leicester lose here. Take the away side to edge this outright.
