THE PREDICTION
Sale Sharks made the play-offs with two games to spare after extending their winning streak to five with a 22-12 win at home to league leaders Bristol last Friday. That takes some of the onus off this crunch match between third and fourth as Harlequins also secured their play-off spot with a hefty 44-33 victory at home to Bath and so this match seems more about momentum and home advantage than anything else, both favouring the hosts Sale. Quins have been involved in some huge scores recently but lost their last match on the road at Leicester Tigers and Sale’s momentum looks a little too imposing in front of limited fans here. Take the hosts to cover -5 at home or for Sale to win and the match to go over 40 points.
