THE PREDICTION
Leicester Tigers were beaten by 10 points in a competitive home match against Sale Sharks last Friday to make it just one defeat in January. They are in a fairly safe position in the tale as things stand after seven games and could go above London Irish with a win here against struggling Worcester. The Warriors pushed an out-of-sorts Exeter Chiefs all the way on Saturday in a close 17-21 defeat to the reigning champions but they will be pleased with their performance at the least. This game looks fairly open if Worcester can cope with the loss of internationals but they must convert that Exeter performance into wins soon as they languish near the foot of the table. Leicester should be able to cover -6 at home in this match but alternatively you could pick a Worcester loss in a result that goes under 40 points, as has happened in the Warriors’ last three matches (not including the postponed fixture with Quins).
