THE PREDICTION
Both Italy and Japan will go into the World Cup eager to spring a surprise or two and this match offers both teams the perfect chance to tune up for the showpiece tournament starting in two weeks. Italy beat Romania 57-7 last weekend and looked in fine form and they will be confident of another positive result in Treviso. Japan’s preparations have not been quite as seamless as they have lost against Samoa and Fiji with a win over Tonga sandwiched between those losses. They will be desperate to get a positive result here to have something to build on but that will be no easy feat. The Italians are fancied to continue their good form and get the win on home soil.
