THE PREDICTION
South Africa outclassed the British & Irish Lions to keep the
series alive with everything to play for in the third and final match in
Cape Town. The Springboks took control of another scrappy affair in
which kicking for territory was once again the gameplan for both teams.
They avenged the defeat they suffered in the opening game in fairly
comprehensive style, preventing the Lions from crossing for a single try
in the 27-9 victory. That loss has prompted Warren Gatland to make
several changes to his side for the decisive contest and while the
tourists are capable of responding to claim the win, the home side can
build on their showing in the second game to make it back-to-back
victories to secure the series.
