THE PREDICTION

Lyon grabbed a rare win on the road last weekend with a 6-37 romp at Perpignan that should see them head comfortably through as Pool B winners barring a small miracle here. Whilst travelling Benetton have vastly improved since their last European campaign, a win at fortress Lyon would send shockwaves around the Rugby Union world. The hosts have only lost at home to Top 14 leaders Bordeaux this season and even then closely in a 15-20 defeat back in October. The hosts will be confident of securing the pool lead ahead of Gloucester’s match on Saturday and they can cover -20 in doing so. Benetton’s only win on the road this season came at rock-bottom URC side Zebre.
