THE PREDICTION
Cardiff Rugby are busy getting the last of their squad back home from South Africa this week after a covid outbreak totally upset their tour and, potentially, their season. Caretaker coach Gruff Rees is working with scraps at home to the reigning Champions Cup champions but if Cardiff were to concede one European fixture to defeat it would likely have been this one anyway. With the pressure off, this could be anything between an absolute hammering and a gutsy performance from fringe players and youngsters at the Cardiff Arms Park. Travelling Toulouse will have been heavy favourites for the win before their hosts’ troubles but taking them to cover -30 seems an achievable target here, especially against hosts whose main remit may well be damage limitation.
