THE PREDICTION
This will be a huge occasion on Saturday as England target revenge for their defeat to South Africa at the Rugby World Cup in 2019. A couple of new faces got on the scoresheet against Australia last weekend in an impressive 32-15 victory over Australia, with Freddie Steward posting his first international try alongside Jamie Blamire’s sixth in four appearances. South Africa were up against it last week at Murrayfield but ultimately overpowered their hosts in the end for a 15-30 victory. A largely unchanged Springboks line-up looks set to do the same at Twickenham against a rather cobbled-together England side missing captain Owen Farrell and important hooker Jamie Geroge. Ellis Genge has not made it back in time to make the bench but Joe Marler may be utilised early if the Boks’ end up winning the majority of the early duels.
The two-month ban for director of rugby Rassie Erasmus is exactly the sort of thing that can fire South Africa up to victory here and they can cover -2 against an England side lacking experience in key areas.
