THE PREDICTION

Exeter Chiefs overcame French opposition at home in their semi-final match in late September and will be gearing up to go again with the slight home advantage of an English neutral ground. The fact that Exeter will have a small excursion to nearby Bristol for this final could well come into play with all the extra stresses and restrictions it takes for Racing 92 to travel internationally in the current climate. Exeter have been going well and should take all the confidence of a big Premiership semi-final win over Bath into this weekend’s match, while Racing 92 lost in the Top 14 at home to Toulouse. It should be an electrifying final that Exeter are the favourites to claim and recent form suggests they have the momentum to do so.
