THE PREDICTION

Wigan Warriors take on Huddersfield Giants for the right to be crowned Challenge Cup winners and both teams will believe they can prevail here. The Warriors will start as favourites but with just one point and one place separating the two on the Super League ladder, there is not a great deal separating the two. Wigan come into this on the back of a loss to Hull FC to make it back-to-back defeats in the league while Huddersfield edged Toulouse to claim a fourth straight success in all competitions. The fitness of veteran Thomas Leuluai could be key for the Warriors who are no strangers to lifting this famous trophy while the potential incision of Will Pryce having served a ten-match ban is the big talking point for the Giants who will be out to cause an upset. There is little to split the pair but Wigan’s big-game experience could prove to be telling and they are favoured to prevail.
