THE TEAM NEWS

HULL FC

  • Hull FC stopped the rot, for the time being at least, as they were able to grind out a win over Huddersfield Giants last time out to end their losing streak at seven matches.
  • The Black and Whites will be desperate to build on that success and could be boosted by the inclusion of off-season signing Jake Trueman who could make his first appearance for the club after overcoming an ACL injury.

21-man squad: Swift, Tuimavave, Sutcliffe, McIntosh, Trueman, Clifford, Sao, Houghton, Satae, Lane, Fash, Lovodua, Cator, Scott, McNamara, Griffin, Litten, Barron, Gardiner, Taylor, Dwyer

Unavailable: Jamie Shaul (Injured), Mitieli Vulikijapani (Injured), Tex Hoy (Injured)

Questionable: Jake Trueman

WIGAN WARRIORS

  • Wigan Warriors continued their good run of form as they recorded a sixth successive victory, getting the better of Wakefield Trinity in their most recent contest.
  • The Warriors were not at their best in that game but there is plenty of room for improvement and they could hand a spot in their side to Ryan Hampshire after he impressed in a recent clash for the reserves.

21-man squad: French, King, Wardle, Marshall, Smith, Powell, Byrne, Farrell, Smithies, Havard, Pearce-Paul, Shorrocks, Mago, Thornley, O’Neill, Miski, Hill, Nsemba, Eckersley, Forber, Hampshire

Unavailable: Mike Cooper (Injured), Brad Singleton (Injured), Jai Field (Injured), Willie Isa (Suspended), Kaide Ellis (Injured)

Questionable: Iain Thornley

THE PREDICTION

Hull FC will hope their win over Huddersfield Giants is not a flash in the pan as they take on Wigan Warriors. It will not be an easy task for the hosts as they aim to make it back-to-back wins with the away side arriving on the back of a six-game winning streak. Jake Trueman will be out to make a big impression on his potential debut but it may take a while for him to get up to speed and with consistency not something FC have excelled in this season, preference is for the Warriors to improve on their winning run.
