THE PREDICTION

Wales start the Rugby League World Cup as not only huge underdogs in the tournament but also in their group. They start off with a tricky clash against Cook Islands, a side that will be hoping to compete for a spot in the quarter-finals. With some NRL talent in their squad, they look to have the makings of a solid outfit and look to have the beating of Wales on paper, at least. It will be tough going for the Welsh and while they will be competitive early on, they look likely to fall short and Cook Islands can ultimately cover the -14 handicap.
