THE PREDICTION

Cook Islands began the tournament well with victory over Wales and look more than capable of gaining the quarter-final place expected of them by many. Papua New Guinea meanwhile, fought hard in their opening match but were defeated by Tonga. Although PNG are likely to gain more points on the board against Cook Islands than Wales managed, the offensive of Cook Islands should prove too strong for PNG in the end and lead them to a second group stage victory.
