THE PREDICTION
New Zealand will be looking to repeat their heroics of the 2008 Rugby League World Cup when they claimed their first title. The Kiwis have come close on several occasions and were runners-up most recently in 2013 but they will be confident in the quality of their squad this time around. They boast arguably the strongest pack in the tournament while they have some exciting talent in the backs with Joey Manu and Jahrome Hughes likely to be key to their chances. They face a Lebanon outfit that will believe they can make the quarter-finals thanks to their halves pairing of Adam Doueihi and Mitchell Moses but they should be no match in this opening game with the Kiwis able to cover the -38 handicap.
