THE PREDICTION
Penrith Panthers finished the regular season at the top of the ladder and they will now attempt to defend their premiership in the finals. They host rivals Parramatta Eels in what should be a sensational start to proceedings with the visitors beating the Panthers in both of their meetings to date this season. The Eels managed to sneak into the top four with a brilliant win over Melbourne Storm last week while the Panthers were heavily beaten by North Queensland Cowboys. However, they went into that contest having rested all of their key men and they will be at full-strength for this clash with Nathan Cleary also back on deck having completed his four-game ban. He was sent off in the last matchup between the two which sets up a nice backstory for this contest and while the hosts will begin as favourites, this is likely to be a closely-fought affair so expect the victors to prevail by a margin of 1-12 points.
