THE TEAM NEWS

MANLY SEA EAGLES

  • Manly Sea Eagles avoided a fourth straight loss as they ran out big winners over Canterbury Bulldogs last week and they will now be aiming to end a frustrating campaign on a high.
  • The Sea Eagles impressed in the early part of the season and looked like they would be right in the mix for a spot in the finals but they have fallen short. Jakob Arthur did a solid job in the halves last week so the much-maligned Josh Schuster looks set to remain out of the team once again.

WESTS TIGERS

  • Wests Tigers look set to end the season with the wooden spoon after a woeful year after they suffered an 11th loss in their last 12 outings, going down to Sydney Roosters last week.
  • In what has been a transitional year for Wests with lots of changes behind the scenes, they will hope to claim just their fifth win of the season and will hand out a couple of debuts to Josh Feledy and Kit Laulilii.

Starting 13: 1. Jahream Bula 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Triston Reilly 4. Josh Feledy 5. Junior Tupou 6. Daine Laurie 7. Apisai Koroisau 8. Alex Twal 9. Jake Simpkin 10. David Klemmer 11. THE PREDICTION

Manly Sea Eagles will be eager to lay down a marker for next year as they bid to finish the campaign with back-to-back wins. They take on bottom side Wests Tigers with the visitors set to land the wooden spoon, even if they claim a victory here. They have struggled for much of the year and with their side looking very weak here, another defeat is on the cards here. The Sea Eagles have won the past six matchups between the two and it would be little surprise if the home side won this by 13+ points to extend that run.
