THE TEAM NEWS

GOLD COAST TITANS

  • Gold Coast Titans once again failed to back up a win as they were downed by Melbourne Storm last time out but they have had some time to fix their issues on their bye week.
  • The Titans were far from disgraced in that game but they have suffered two huge injury blows which will see them field a new-look spine here with Kieran Foran and AJ Brimson both ruled out.

Starting 13: Campbell, Khan-Pereira, Kelly, Schoupp, Sami, Sexton, Boyd, Fotuaika, Randall, T. Fa’asuamaleaui, D. Fifita, Stimson, Liu – Interchanges: Clark, Vuna, I. Fa’asuamaleaui, Haas – Reserves: McIntyre, Leeming, J. Fifita, Kini, Spry

Unavailable: Beau Fermor (Injured), Sam Verrills (Injured), Jaimin Jolliffe (Injured), AJ Brimson (Injured), Kieran Foran (Injured)

ST. GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS

  • St. George Illawarra Dragons avoided a third successive loss as they overcame the Dolphins last week to make it two wins from four to begin the season.
  • The Dragons performed well in that game with Ben Hunt pulling the strings and on the back of that effort, head coach Anthony Griffin has opted to name the same 17.

Starting 13: Sloan, Mat. Feagai, Suli, Lomax, Ravalawa, Amone, B. Hunt, F. Molo, Liddle, Lawrie, Murdoch-Manila, Su’a, Bird – Interchanges: Mbye, De Belin, Couchman, Kerr – Reserves: M. Molo, Moga, Musgrove, Sullivan, J. Hunt

Unavailable: Cody Ramsey (Illness), Tyrell Fuimaono (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Gold Coast Titans will hope to come into this game with St. George Illawarra Dragons with plenty of energy on the back of their bye week but injuries to key men could hamper them. Both teams come into this having won two of their four games so far this season but the Dragons defeated the Titans in round 2 and on the back of a solid outing to get the better of the Dolphins last week, it is the away side that are the slight preference in this one.
