THE PREDICTION
Despite the NRL standings showing Penrith Panthers sat in top spot and flying high, it is the Cronulla Sharks who come into this game in better shape having won their last two games and the Panthers coming off their first loss of the season. They will be hoping to put in a much-improved display since their last meeting where the Sharks were humiliated 0-48 by the Panthers and they will be confident of being much more competitive here. Alongside their improved form, the Panthers are resting some of their Origin stars as Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, Isaah Yeo, Brian To'o and Kurt Capewell are all on the sidelines. With the Panthers slightly under strength, expect the Sharks to push them much closer this time and keep this game close. That said, the Panthers should still have too much quality and they should bounce back and take the points.
