  • Melbourne produced a brilliant display despite resting some of their key players as they proved far too good for Gold Coast last week and moved a step closer to claiming the minor premiership.
  • The Storm will recall their Origin stars after four of them were rested last week and Christian Welch will be back from a ban with the likes of Marion Seve and Tom Eisenhuth dropping out of the side.
  • Sandor Earl is the only player to retain his place who would not have expected to thanks to Suliasi Vunivalu picking up a ban last week so he will cover on the wing with Josh Addo-Carr returning on the other wing.

  • Manly won their fourth match from their last five as they held off a late Parramatta fightback to claim another important victory but now face the difficult task of heading to league leaders Melbourne.
  • Five-eighth Cade Cust was a late withdrawal for the Sea Eagles last week but should have overcome his head knock for this contest although head coach Des Hasler has only named him as a reserve.
  • If he is not selected, Dylan Walker will retain his spot at five-eighth and this is the route that Hasler may opt to go down after his partnership with Daly Cherry-Evans was successful last week which would mean an unchanged 17.

THE PREDICTION

Melbourne have one hand on the minor premiership and will come into this game as big favourites to land that prize. They host a Manly side who are pushing for a top 4 spot but the Storm will be keen to extend their own winning run to ten matches which they should be able to do here. Having given their Origin stars a week off, they will come back into the side refreshed and that is bad news for Manly who will put up a fight but should ultimately fall short.
