  • Manly suffered a shock loss at the hands of New Zealand Warriors last week as their hopes of making the top 4 suffered a big blow with games now running out to try and overhaul those teams above them.
  • The Sea Eagles are forced into two changes this week because of injuries which will see them be without Brad Parker and Curtis Sironen who will be missing with knee and hamstring issues respectively.
  • Those knocks have opened the door for Brendan Elliot and Jack Gosiewski to come back into the fold with Elliot slotting in at centre whilst Gosiewski will start in the second row, whilst the rest of the side will line-up as selected last week.

  • Wests Tigers were left to rue a missed conversion by Paul Momirovski on the hooter as they were defeated by Canterbury Bulldogs to leave their play-off hopes delicately poised with just four rounds of the regular season remaining.
  • Robbie Farah could have played his last game for the Tigers after fracturing his tibia whilst Moses Mbye is also out injured and that forces some big changes to the Wests line-up with Jacob Liddle starting at hooker.
  • Mbye’s spot at centre is taken by 19-year-old Tommy Talau who will make his debut whilst Luke Garner is also a late scrub after he was handed a one-match ban by the judiciary which sees Chris Lawrence start in the second row and Chris McQueen promoted to the bench.

THE PREDICTION

Manly will be hoping to bounce back from their shock defeat against the Warriors last week as they look to get their top 4 ambitions back on track. They host Wests Tigers here who also suffered a disappointing defeat last week and with the loss of some key men, Manly can get back to winning ways. The Sea Eagles have performed well for the majority of the season and will put last week down to a blip but they must respond with a strong performance to get back to winning ways.
