THE TEAM NEWS
CRONULLA-SUTHERLAND SHARKS
Head Coach: John Morris
Starting 13: Moylan, Feki, Xerri, Dugan, Morris, Johnson, Townsend, Woods, J. Brailey, Prior, Nikora, Graham, Gallen – Interchanges: Capewell. Williams, Fifita, Hamlin-Uele – Reserves: Magoulias, B. Brailey, Mulitalo, Flanagan
Unavailable:
- Cronulla got back to winning ways as they ended their run of five games without a win by overturning a 10-point deficit to beat the Cowboys but will need to back that up here to get back into play-off contention.
- The Sharks will be hoping Matt Moylan is fit enough to return after he was ruled out of last week's game with a hamstring injury and he has been listed at fullback so should take to the field unless he suffers a late setback.
- Cronulla have a clean bill of health for the first time this season with Wade Graham back following his injury during the Origin period whilst Andrew Fifita has served his ban and comes onto the bench.
SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS
Head Coach: Wayne Bennett
Starting 13: Doueihi, Gagai, Roberts, Burns, Graham, Walker, Reynolds, Tatola, Cook, T. Burgess, Sutton, S. Burgess, Murray – Interchanges: Knight, Nicholls, Lowe, Turner – Reserves: Tracey, Allan, S. Su’A, Britt
Unavailable: Kurt Dillon, Alex Johnston, George Burgess
- South Sydney made it three wins in a row as they narrowed the gap over leaders Melbourne thanks to their victory over St. George and are boosted by the return of one of their key men for this clash with Cronulla.
- Sam Burgess looks set to make a miraculous return for the Rabbitohs this week following a shoulder infection after undergoing surgery but fullback Alex Johnston is still not quite ready to return just yet.
- Liam Knight is back in the South Sydney team after serving a ban and his return along with the inclusion of Burgees sees Dean Britt and Jaydn Su’A have to settle for a place in the reserves.
THE PREDICTION
Cronulla must build on last week's win if they are to stay in play-off contention as they won their first game in six. They now have the tough task of hosting South Sydney and whilst the Rabbitohs are still not at their best, they have more bodies back this week and can make it four in a row. It will be difficult for them with Cronulla finally able to field their strongest side barring any late setback but the Rabbitohs just have the edge over them and can keep the pressure on Melbourne.
