THE PREDICTION

St. Helens responded to their first loss of the season in superb fashion as they blew Hull FC away last week. After going down to Catalans Dragons, Saints prepared for this Challenge Cup semi-final clash against Hull in the best way possible as they prevailed comfortably in that dress rehearsal. The scoreline didn’t reflect the way the game played out as Saints could and probably should have won by a greater margin than the 18 they managed. Hull will undoubtedly perform better in this knockout tie but that is still unlikely to be enough to overturn last week’s outcome and it is the Super League leaders that should progress to the showpiece at Wembley.
