Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez took full advantage of his wildcard by winning his first-round match against Aleksandar Vukic on Tuesday. The 19-year-old managed to produce at the key moments and he took the final set tie-break to win in three sets.

That win has earned him a match against second seed Casper Ruud and this will be a real tough test for him.

Ruud was relatively comfortable in his 6-4 6-3 win on Tuesday against Arthur Rinderknech and he will be looking to build on his run to the final in Dallas in the last tournament he played.
