Rob Cross vs Nathan Aspinall Prediction
Rob Cross will have been kicking himself after squandering a 5-2 lead in his opener against Luke Littler in Glasgow last week, missing three darts for the match in the process, but he will have taken some confidence from the manner in which he started that contest and if delivers the same level of performance in Dublin, he will give himself every chance of picking up points.
Voltage had a decent stint at the two Pro Tour events this week, reaching the quarter-finals on Monday before losing a high-quality contest with in-form Callan Rydz the following day.
Nathan Aspinall may have only won one game in the aforementioned Players Championship events, but his performance level, in terms of averages at least, certainly wasn’t disappointing and he needs to carry that level now into the Premier League.
The Asp’s selection for the Premier League was questioned by some and he has been a quarter-final loser in both weeks so far. Given how well he has played this week though, he looks capable of pushing Cross here. With that in mind, over 9.5 legs is a reasonable assumption.
Rob Cross vs Nathan Aspinall Tip: Over 9.5 legs
