Ricky Turcios: Pretty Ricky looks to bounce back from loss

Ricky Turcios (12-4) will look to bounce back from a loss to Raul Rosas Jr last time out as he was submitted in the second round at UFC on ESPN 57 in June. Prior to that, he had won two of his three bouts in the UFC and he will not look to go back above .500 and improve on his 2-2 record in the organisation.

Bernardo Sopaj: Albanian-Swede looking for first win in UFC

24-year-old Bernardo Sopaj (11-3) will look to get back on track after the highly-rated bantamweight suffered a brutal flying knee knockout at the hands of Vinicius Oliveira on his UFC debut. He has had some eight months to recover from that devastating knockout and he can take some positives as he was the better fighter until that point. He will now look to get back to winning ways here and get his first win in the Octagon.

Ricky Turcios vs Bernardo Sopaj Prediction

After Cody Garbrandt withdrew from the card and his bout with Miles Johns was called off, this bout has been elevated to co-main event status and there will be a degree of pressure on both men to put on a show.

This is an interesting one as Turcios is durable but pretty limited. Sopaj has good potential and good knockout power but is very raw and is coming off a brutal knockout loss himself.

That all makes for an intriguing bout and one which we favour Sopaj to come through. That loss will make him a bit more circumspect and should focus him even more so. Turcios does not possess too many weapons that should concern him other than durability.

Sopaj is technical good and strong, and he should be able to wear down Turcios and eventually get the win.

Prediction: Bernardo Sopaj to win
