Ricky Evans vs Robert Owen Prediction

We have a fascinating match to kick off the evening session as both Ricky Evans and Robert Owen are coming off impressive victories over two seeded players.

Ricky Evans scraped past Gordon Mathers in the first round but raised his game magnificently to stun sixth-seed Dave Chisnall. Chizzy was left to rue some wasted chances but credit to Evans for producing when it mattered and he edged the match 3-2 with a 94.30 average.

Robert Owen also impressed as he took his game to another level to upset German 27th seed Gabriel Clemens 3-1 in the second round. He averaged an outstanding 98.97 to beat Clemens and that was an improvement on his 91.64 average in the first round.

There is very little to choose between the two players coming into this match and so much will come down to the crunch moments. With neither player likely to dominate for long spells, our preferred play is on set betting and we fully expect over 5.5 here while we have a marginal preference for Owen.
