Rhys McKee vs Daniel Frunza Prediction

Rhys McKee is still searching for his first win in the UFC after successive losses to start his career in the promotion as he attempts to do so at the third time of asking. The Irishman has seen two decisions going against him in fights against Ange Loosa and Chidi Njokuani and he will be desperate to prove he can compete on a global stage.

He takes on Romania’s Daniel Frunza who fights out of Italy and the 30-year-old is riding a five-fight winning streak coming into this bout. He earned his shot in the UFC by winning last time out in Dana White’s Contender Series and that was his fifth successive win and fifth successive knockout win at that.

Both fighters have serious knockout power at this weight class and will be looking for the stoppage right from the start. 10 of McKee’s 13 wins have come that way and eight of Frunza’s nine have seen a KO/TKO. There is every chance that this fight ends the same way but with two relatively unproven fighters at this level, picking the winner is not easy.

Our preferred play is on this fight not to go the distance and there is some decent value in that pick.

Prediction: Fight will not go the distance
