Rennes vs Strasbourg Prediction

Former Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli has not been able to get the tune out of his Stade Rennais side that he would have expected. They are churning through the squad this month in an attempt to find some form but their 3-2 defeat to Monaco at Stade Louis II last weekend means they have now suffered five successive defeats across all competitions. They now face a Strasbourg side that have had 64 goals come in their 19 Ligue 1 games so far this season. Liam Rosenior’s Alsace-based side have returned from the winter break in much-improved form with the visitors most recently defeating Lille by two goals to one to mean they are unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions. The form of the two sides means Strasbourg are favourites and it should be an entertaining encounter at Roazhon Park, too.

Rennes vs Strasbourg Tip: Strasbourg to win & both teams to score
