Rennes Team News: Cisse suspended

Despite the aforementioned big spending in January, Rennes have been reliant on young midfielder Djaoui Cisse but he is now missing through suspension for the hosts, whilst Alidu Seidu is still out with an ACL injury and Carlos Andres Gomez is a doubt, too.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Samba; Jacquet, Rouault, Brassier; Assignon, James, Matusiwa, Fofana, Truffert; Blas, Kalimuendo

Unavailable: Seidu (Injured), Cisse (Suspended)

Questionable: Andres Gomez (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain Team News: Potential rotation

PSG have a fully fit and available squad ahead of the trip to Rennes. However, given their trip to Anfield in a few days, the Parisiens may well make a few changes here as the Ligue 1 title is all but wrapped up and they can focus on the UEFA Champions League.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Hernandez; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Doue; Barcola, Ramos, Lee

Rennes vs Paris Saint-Germain Prediction

Jorge Sampaoli took charge of Rennes in November but things didn’t immediately improve. However, the hosts come into this one on the back of a 4-0 demolition of struggling Montpellier Herault the other day and their overall form has now majorly improved with four victories in their last five matches in Ligue 1. PSG were dominant against Liverpool in midweek in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie at Parc des Princes but they couldn’t find a breakthrough and eventually suffered a 1-0 loss due to a late Harvey Elliott strike. Luis Enrique’s side have been magnificent throughout the campaign and will still fancy their chances as they go to Anfield this week. They will rotate here and may take their eye off the ball, though, so, given their form and home advantage, siding with Rennes could well be good value here.

Rennes vs Paris Saint-Germain Tip: Double chance – Rennes to win or draw
