Real Valladolid Preview: Struggling Valladolid

Real Valladolid begin the 32nd match day of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign sitting rock-bottom with just four victories in their 31 matches so far this season, sitting 14 points adrift of safety after a miserable campaign with Ronaldo trying, but seemingly not too hard, to sell the club.

Valladolid did take a surprise lead at the Metropolitano last weekend against Atletico Madrid via Mamadou Sylla. However, they eventually went 2-1 down before coming back to 2-2 via Javi Sanchez and then eventually suffering a 4-2 loss.

Osasuna Preview: Inconsistent Osasuna

Ahead of the campaign, with former Almeria coach Vicente Moreno replacing the departing Jago Arrasate, Osasuna were tipped for relegation but then spent the majority of the season challenging for Europe. However, they are now in limbo.

As they head into the final seven games of the campaign, Osasuna sit five points behind the European spots and now eight clear of the danger zone thanks to a 2-1 defeat of Girona at El Sadar in the city of Pamplona last weekend.

Real Valladolid Team News: A few issues

Real Valladolid will remain without first-choice goalkeeper Estonia international Karl Hein due to an injury he sustained whilst on the international break. They also have a couple of injury doubts, too, such as Luis Perez and Juanmi Latasa.

Predicted XI (4-1-4-1): Ferreira; Candela, Aidoo, Javi Sanchez, Henrique; Juric; Anuar, Chuki, Grillitsch, Darwin Machis; Sylla

Unavailable: Hein (Injured)

Questionable: Luis Perez (Injured), Juanmi Latasa (Injured)

Osasuna Team News: Couple of doubts

As they make the trip to Valladolid this weekend, Osasuna have a couple of injury doubts for this one such as the experienced Raul Garcia as well as Bayern Munich loanee winger Bryan Zaragoza.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sergio Herrera; Boyomo, Alejandro Catena, Juan Herrando; Jesus Areso, Jon Moncayola, Lucas Torro, Aimar Oroz, Abel Bretones; Budimir, Kike Barja

Unavailable:

Questionable: Raul Garcia (Injured), Bryan Zaragoza (Injured)

Real Valladolid vs Osasuna Prediction

Real Valladolid have been woeful this season and the appointment of former Mexico boss Diego Cocca to replace Paulo Pezzolano has not been a positive one as they drift towards an immediate return to the second-tier. Osasuna, as mentioned, have been inconsistent this year but are now looking back up the table and they should continue to do that as firm favourites for this one.

Real Valladolid vs Osasuna Tip: Osasuna to win
