As their form and discipline continues to collapse in La Liga, so much so that after their 3-0 loss to Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin last weekend in a game in which they then went down to nine men, La Real find themselves in the bottom-half of the league. They did defeat Midtjylland by five goals to two to complete a 7-3 aggregate win in the knockout playoff round of the UEFA Europa League in midweek. Leganes come into this one on the back of a thrilling 3-3 draw against fellow strugglers Deportivo Alaves last weekend in a topsy turvy encounter at Butarque. The visitors have scored just 22 goals in 24 La Liga games this season, though, whilst Real Sociedad are one of just three sides to have scored fewer with 20. Despite their entertaining recent matches, a low-scoring affair remains extremely likely for this one at the Reale Arena.
