Real Betis Preview: Impressive form

Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis are competing for a top seven or eight finish in La Liga and ensuring European qualification, whilst they also try and go deep in the UEFA Europa Conference League, and they have timed some good form to perfection ahead of this one.

The Andalusians come into this one on the back of an impressive 2-1 defeat of in-form and difficult to beat Getafe at the Coliseum in the capital city last weekend thanks to a brace of goals from Isco.

Real Madrid Preview: Rotating in the cup

Real Madrid rotated some key players in midweek but Carlo Ancelotti’s Los Blancos were still able to defeat Real Sociedad by a goal to nil away from home in the first-leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final with Brazil international Endrick scoring an early winner in that game.

The visitors are preparing to face Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League in a few days but their focus also has to be on the competitive La Liga title race, whereby they ended a three-match winless run with a 2-0 defeat of Girona last weekend.

Real Betis Team News: Right-back issues

With Hector Bellerin missing through injury for a while, Angel Ortiz has filled in at right-back but the youngster is now sidelined due to an ankle issue. Antony, though, who received a red card against Getafe last weekend, has won his appeal and will be available to play.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Adrian; Sabaly, Marc Bartra, Diego Llorente, Rodriguez; Johnny Cardoso, Sergi Altimira; Antony, Isco, Jesus Rodriguez; Cucho

Unavailable: Angel Ortiz (Injured), Hector Bellerin (Injured), Carvalho (Injured), Marc Roca (Injured), Lo Celso (Injured)

Questionable: Abde Ez (Injured)

Real Madrid Team News: Bellingham suspension

Jude Bellingham played in the cup in midweek, providing an excellent winner for that Endrick goal, is serving the second of his two-match suspension in La Liga this weekend. Kylian Mbappe remains a doubt due to having dental surgery in the week.

Predicted XI (4-2-2-2): Courtois; Lucas Vazquez, Raul Asencio, Alaba, Mendy; Tchouameni, Modric; Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo; Endrick, Vinicius Junior

Unavailable: Militao (Injured), Jesus Vallejo (Injured), Dani Carvajal (Injured), Bellingham (Suspended)

Questionable: Mbappe (Injured)

Real Betis vs Real Madrid Prediction

Real Betis will fancy their chances of taking the game to a Madrid side that do look a little defensively fragile and vulnerable and are also dealing with a few injuries as well as the upcoming Madrid derby against Atletico in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Without Bellingham and potentially Mbappe, Madrid will be a little concerned and both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one down in Seville.
