RB Leipzig Preview: RB need energy

RB Leipzig, with Marco Rose at the helm, were underwhelming in terms of their performance level at the start of this season. However, the hosts were gaining results. Their results have since drifted to coming more in line with their fairly average performance level.

The home team have drifted from a potential title challenge in the Bundesliga with their most recent outing domestic outing being a much-needed win away at struggling Holstein Kiel last weekend. That came on the back of a four-match winless streak in the top-flight.

Eintracht Frankfurt Preview: Frustrated Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have been one of the better sides to watch in the Bundesliga so far this season with an attacking and entertaining style of football under Dino Toppmoller. They do remain tucked inside the top four despite a poor result last weekend.

Frankfurt shared a 2-2 draw at home to an average Augsburg side in which they were 2-1 down before Can Uzun’s 74th minute equaliser. That did come on the back of a winning streak in the Bundesliga but performances had declined before that underwhelming point.

RB Leipzig Team News: Key absentees

Belgium international Arthur Vermeeren is missing through suspension for this weekend, whilst Leipzig also deal with several key injury issues such as Castello Lukeba, David Raum, Xavi Simons and Yussuf Poulsen.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Gulacsi; Klostermann, Orban, Geertruida; Henrichs, Kampl, Seiwald, Nusa; Baumgartner; Sesko, Openda

Swedish youngster Hugo Larsson is an injury concern for this weekend’s trip to the Red Bull Arena. As well as the potential absence of Larsson, Frankfurt remain without Aurele Amenda.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Trapp; Kristensen, Koch, Theate, Nkounkou; Knauff, Skhiri, Dahoud, Brown; Marmoush, Ektike

Unavailable: Amenda (Injured)

Questionable: Larsson (Injured)

RB Leipzig vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction

RB Leipzig have been underwhelming in terms of performances throughout the campaign. Marco Rose has been coming under increasing pressure but the former Borussia Monchengladbach has said that he is the one to turn things around. They now face a Frankfurt side that will fear they have perhaps been reliant on the form of Egypt international Omar Marmoush, albeit they have played generally quite well and will fancy their chances of avoiding defeat at least in Leipzig.

RB Leipzig vs Eintracht Frankfurt Tip: Double chance – Eintracht Frankfurt to win or draw
