RB Leipzig Preview: Ground Lost On Bayern Following Dortmund Defeat

In a highly anticipated battle between two of the Bundesliga’s heaviest hitters, it was RB Leipzig who came out the wrong end of the result, losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park. After taking the lead through Benjamin Sesko, Leipzig couldn’t capitalise, giving up two goals afterwards and failing to recover.

They’ve since followed that up with more disappointment in Europe, this time against Celtic. Defeat at Parkhead was their fourth straight Champions League defeat this season and leaves them needing something special at the half-way stage of that competition to progress any further.

Borussia Monchengladbach Preview: Seven Points Gained From Their Last Three

Borussia Monchengladbach are in good form and have every reason to believe that they can knock over RB Leipzig. Their last three league games have seen them record two wins and a draw, most recently thrashing Werder Bremen by four goals to one in what was a dominating home display from Gladbach.

Having not yet faced either Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund this season, you could definitely argue that RB Leipzig will serve as Gladbach’s biggest test yet, especially with them being the away team.

RB Leipzig Vs Borussia Monchengladbach Prediction

Although Borussia Monchengladbach has form in their favour, RB Leipzig are at home and still a very dangerous side. One bad league result certainly won’t define them and six wins in nine Bundesliga games cannot be underestimated. Head coach Rose will expect a reaction following their two losses this past week and his players should provide it. Back the hosts to win, but utilise the draw no bet market for extra security.
