Randy Brown vs Nicolas Dalby prediction
Randy Brown (19-6) is coming off a narrow split-decision loss to Bryan Battle at UFC 310 and after three wins in a row prior to that, the 34-year-old will be desperate to get back to winning ways here. The Battle loss was just his second in his last nine fights and he has always bounced back from a defeat with a win, so he will be confident of doing the same here.
He takes on 40-year-old Dane Nicolas Dalby (23-5-1 with two no contests) who lost in similar circumstances in his last fight. Rinat Fakhretdinov edged a split decision against him in June which saw a four-fight winning streak come to an end. All five of his losses have come on the scorecards and even at 40, the veteran remains as durable as ever.
There is not a great deal to split these two men but we marginally prefer Brown. He has youth on his side, it likely to be the fresher of the two men, and we just prefer his body of work.
That said, we do not like him enough to take the punt. Our play here is on this one going to the scorecards. Both fighters are solid without being spectacular and we think this one will be decided by the judges.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
