Rafael Estevam: Macapa puts his 100% record on the line

Rafael Estevam (12-0) will put his unbeaten record on the line as after winning through Dana White’s Contender Series to earn his shot in the UFC, he won his debut fight last time out. He beat Charles Johnson by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 232 in November and now faces a relatively quick turnaround as he looks for his second win in the organisation.

Jesus Santos Aguilar: Mexican aiming to make it four wins in a row

Jesus Santos Aguilar (11-2) lost on his UFC debut back in February 2023 but has rebounded in style winning his last three bouts. He too is a graduate from Dana White’s Contender Series and he now looks to have found his feet in the organisation after being submitted on debut. Santos Aguilar last fought in August where he submitted Stewart Nicoll at UFC 305 and he has a chance of making it four wins in a row here.

Rafael Estevam vs Jesus Santos Aguilar Prediction

The flyweights so often make for entertaining fights and this one between two potential rising stars promises to be one of those.

Rafael Estevam looks like he could very well be the real deal and it will be interesting to see how far this talented Brazilian can go in the UFC.

The UFC matchmakers have paired him up with a talented opponent however as Jesus Santos Aguilar is on a streak of his own and looks good in his own right.

Our preference is with Estevam however. He is so well-rounded with decent power as well as a good set of submission skills, that he has so many routes to victory as well as the ability to control his fights for decisions. We have to favour him here but the method of victory is pretty tough to call.

Prediction: Rafael Estevam to win
