Quentin Halys vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction

Quentin Halys came through qualifying to reach the main draw in Doha and he had to overcome valiant veteran Stan Wawrinka in three sets to make it to the first round.

He now faces Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime who is flying so far in 2025. The 24-year-old won the Adelaide International at the start of January and then the Open Occitanie on the Challenger Tour at the start of February.

He then went to Rotterdam two weeks ago but after losing the second set against Andrea Vavassori to make it one apiece, he abruptly retired after a medical break and he has not been seen since. That has to be a concern coming into this one but one would assume he is fit enough given he has made the trip over.

Based on form, Auger-Aliassime simply has to be favoured to progress here but it may be worth monitoring his fitness in-play.
