Quentin Halys vs Benjamin Bonzi Prediction

Quentin Halys came through his toughest test so far this week in the round of 16 on Wednesday as he beat Pierre-Hugues Herbert in three sets. His previous three wins all came in straight sets but he was pushed all the way by Herbert.

He now faces another compatriot in Benjamin Bonzi who is flying with confidence after beating Roberto Bautista Agut and then second seed Casper Ruud in straight sets. The win over Ruud should be put in some context as the Norwegian had received confirmation that he had qualified for the ATP Final due to Djokovic’s withdrawal and he still played the match rather than pulling out himself.

Bonzi got the win nevertheless but this will be a tougher test against a fired up Halys. The pair met once on the ATP Tour once before and Bonzi got the win at the US Open last year. Halys has won the three previous meetings on the Challenger Tour however and we favour him to pick up the win here too.
