Qatar Preview: Just one win from four so far
Results haven’t gone the way Qatar would’ve ideally wanted in Group A and that has left them with plenty of ground to make up if they are to finish in one of the automatic qualification places for the World Cup. They’ll certainly need to tighten up defensively after being heavily beaten by four goals to one at the hands of IR Iran last time out.
Uzbekistan Preview: Cementing that top two place a priority
With ten points from a possible 12 accumulated so far and a sizeable six-point gap between themselves and third-placed UAE in Group A, it’s been a successful group stage campaign for Uzbekistan, whose rock-solid backline have conceded just two goals across four matches so far. Their only points dropped came against group leaders IR Iran.

Qatar vs Uzbekistan Prediction
Qatar head coach Marquez Lopez knows the importance of this game from his side’s perspective and a good start is needed. It’s hard to ignore them having conceded ten goals over the course of round three so far though and when combined with the fact that Uzbekistan have been excellent at keeping out the opposition in recent games, it doesn’t bode well from the hosts’ perspective. The expectation is that Uzbekistan will pick up at least a point here and it would be no surprise to see them take all three.
