PSG Preview: PSG in transition
As mentioned, Luis Enrique has signed a new deal in charge of Paris Saint-Germain as they transition into a new generation but the Parisiens find themselves sitting outside of the top 24 in the UEFA Champions League league phase after they suffered another defeat, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in midweek.
In Ligue 1, the defending French champions have been very impressive with a six-point lead ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures having picked up ten victories with two draws in their 12 matches so far this season. Their most recent outing saw them hammer Toulouse by three goals to nil at Parc des Princes last weekend.
Nantes Preview: Nantes on the slide
Antoine Kombouare returned to Nantes in the second-half of last season after both Pierre Aristouy and Jocelyn Gourvennac were sacked with the Canaries firmly in the Ligue 1 relegation battle. Kombouare steered them away from the drop and started this season well but things have taken a massive turn.
There was a pitch invasion protesting their decline last weekend at Stade de la Beaujoire as Nantes, who sit in the bottom three ahead of this match day, suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to fellow strugglers Le Havre meaning they are winless in nine matches since beginning the season by collecting seven points from their opening three matches.
PSG Team News: ‘Keeper debate
Gianluigi Donnarumma was dropped to the bench for their clash with Bayern Munich due to poor form but Matvey Safonov didn’t convince so Donnarumma may well reclaim his spot.
Youngster Senny Mayulu remains unavailable with a calf injury but the likes of Presnel Kimpembe and Goncalo Ramos have returned from respective injury issues.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Dembele, Ramos, Barcola
Unavailable: Mayulu (Injured)

Nantes Team News: Couple of injuries
Kombouare has had fall outs with the likes of Jean-Charles Castelletto and Johann Lepenant this season but both are back and available for Nantes this weekend.
The visitors are dealing with a couple of injury issues, though, as Marcus Coco is unavailable alongside key attacker Tino Kadewere as they travel to the capital.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lafont; Duverne, Castelletto, Zeze, Cozza; Pedro Chirivella, Douglas Augusto; Mollet, Lepenant, Simon; Abline

PSG vs Nantes Prediction
PSG have to put their European form to one side once again with their underperformance looking like it could well end up in humiliation come January. Domestically, though, the likes of Monaco and Marseille have been unable to mount a serious title challenge alongside the Parisiens. They now take on a Nantes side that are in disarray both on and off the pitch so a comfortable home win is to be expected for this one at Parc des Princes.
