Luis Enrique, who has recently signed a new contract in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, is coming under pressure with PSG struggling in Europe and also flattering to deceive in Ligue 1, despite beginning the weekend with a five-point lead at the top-of-the-table.

The Parisiens come into this one on the back of a goalless draw against Auxerre, who gained promotion to the top-flight last weekend. That came a week after sharing a 1-1 draw with a struggling Nantes side at the Parc des Princes.

On the pitch, the visitors have been very impressive of late domestically and their most recent Ligue 1 outing saw them dispatch of Angers by three goals to nil at Stade Raymond Kopa thanks to goals from Nicolas Tagliafico, Rayan Cherki and Georges Mikautadze.

PSG vs Lyon Prediction

PSG lack a bit of control and cohesion in defensive areas of the pitch with Luis Enrique trying his ‘total football’ methods at the Parc des Princes but with what is, in relative terms to teams he has worked with in the past and previous incarnations of PSG, a limited side. Lyon are chaos-merchants and whilst leaky at the back will believe that they can hurt the potentially fragile and vulnerable PSG. Having said that, the hosts remain favourites for this one with both teams scoring a good bet, too.
