Paris Saint-Germain are pushing for the treble this season and they took a step further in midweek as they now prepare to take on a poor Angers side in the relegation battle.

PSG Preview: Parisien dominance

As mentioned, Paris Saint-Germain took a step closer to the treble this season and they did so by coming from 2-0 down against second-tier Dunkerque in midweek to win by four goals to two in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France.

The Parisiens begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting 21 points clear at the top-of-the-table with seven games to go and they can win the title this weekend ahead of facing Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Angers Preview: Angers strugglers

Angers come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Stade Rennais at Stade Raymond Kopa in their most recent outing last weekend due to a brace of goals from former PSG man Armand Kalimuendo as well as an Ismael Kone strike.

The visitors have now suffered five successive defeats across all competitions, beginning that run with a loss to Stade de Reims on penalties in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France in late-February.

PSG Team News: Potential rotation

Despite being able to win the league as soon as this weekend, it could well be the case that PSG make some changes for this one after that aforementioned cup semi-final and ahead of that European clash with Villa in midweek.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Beraldo, Kimpembe, Mendes; Mayulu, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Ramos, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Arnau Tenas (Injured), Lee (Injured)

Questionable: Hakimi (Injured)

Angers Team News: A few doubts

Ahead of the trip to the Parc des Princes this weekend, Angers are dealing with a few injury issues for this one such as Cedric Hountondji, Emmanuel Biumla and Haris Belkelba, whilst Sidiki Cherif is also sidelined due to a thigh injury.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Fofana; Arcus, Bamba, Lefort, Hanin; Belkhdim, Ferhat, Aholou; Allevinah, Lepaul, El Melali

Unavailable: Cherif (Injured)

Questionable: Hountondji (Injured), Biumla (Injured), Belkelba (Injured)

PSG vs Angers Prediction

With Luis Enrique at the helm, who won the treble with Barcelona in the 2014/25 campaign, and PSG able to rotate their players a lot as they cruise to another league title, the treble is very much on for the Parisiens. They face an Angers side that have sunk down Ligue 1 to hovering just above the bottom three and the danger zone. PSG are expected to win this one quite comfortably and it should be by quite a large margin as they look to wrap up the second of potentially four trophies season, following their victory in the Trophee des Champions in January.
