Poland vs Malta Prediction
Michal Probiez led Poland to UEFA EURO 2024 with playoff victories against Estonia and Wales last year but they, once again, underperformed at a major tournament as they now take on a Malta side that have been improved in UEFA Nations League campaigns.
Poland managed to squeeze themselves past a limited and generally poor Lithuania side at the National Stadium in the Polish capital, Warsaw, in their opening qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Barcelona striker and La Liga’s top scorer Robert Lewandowski notching an 81st minute winning goal.
They now face a Malta side that have shown signs of improvement but were left frustrated in Ta Qali the other day as they suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Finland in their most recent outing the other day with Oliver Antman notching the only goal of the game in the 38th minute before Kurt Shaw was sent off in the second-half.
Poland, especially with their home advantage, are expected to win this one in Warsaw but, once again like the other night, it is not expected to be a convincing victory against Malta.
Poland vs Malta Tip: Poland to win & under 3.5 goals
