Pierre-Hugues Herbert has come through two rounds of qualifying as well as the first round and he has beaten some talented players in Arthur Cazaux and Pedro Martinez so far. Those victories will give him plenty of confidence as he comes into his round of 16 clash against compatriot Quentin Halys.

Halys has also come through three rounds to reach this stage and with relative ease as he has beaten a trio of relative unknowns in straight sets. This will mark a step up in quality of opponent for him and it will be interesting to see how this one goes.

Halys is the one with the form behind him and has been playing at the higher level of the ATP Tour while Herbert has been on the Challenger. Halys will be eager to do well in this event and will be sufficiently motivated to ensure there is no upset here.
