Peru Preview: Reliant on home form
With Peru away to reigning Copa America and world champions Argentina next week, they know that this is a must-win game at home to the only team below them in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying campaign.
Their only victory in the current qualifying cycle came last month at home to Uruguay, and it is at home where they have picked up five of their six points to date.
Chile Preview: Struggling badly
There was more misery for Chile in the last international break, as they fell to the bottom of the qualification table following defeats to Brazil and Colombia, and under-fire head coach Ricardo Gareca is badly in need of a result here.
Their 4-0 loss at Colombia signalled their worst losing streak in qualifying for over 20 years, while they have scored just one goal in their five away games in the current CONMEBOL section.

Peru vs Chile Prediction
The bottom two sides in CONMEBOL qualifying do battle in Lima, and despite their lowly position, the fact that there are still eight games remaining in the current cycle mans that both sides will believe they can reach a qualification spot should they string some positive results together.
That has to start here, which means this could be a rather open affair as both sides target the win. With that in mind, over 2.5 goals is the suggested betting market.
Peru vs Chile Tip: Over 2.5 goals
