Parma spent most of this season trying to play an entertaining and attacking style of football but they have since shifted to something more defensive and it has helped their cause this season.

Parma Preview: Not so pretty Parma

Fabio Pecchia left Parma a couple of months ago after trying to implement his progressive style of football in the top-flight but results lacking and he was replaced by former Parma, Internazionale and Romania international defender Cristian Chivu.

Chivu has managed to create a more defensive style of football that has them sort of pushing away from the bottom three and the danger zone as their goalless draw with Fiorentina last weekend was their fifth successive draw in Serie A.

Juventus Preview: Pragmatic Igor Tudor

Despite being known for his tactical innovation and general willingness to try and play a front foot and attacking, aggressive style of football, interim coach Igor Tudor is improving performances and results in Turin with a heavy dose of Juventus-inspired pragmatism.

The Bianconeri come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Lecce at the Allianz Stadium last weekend with goals from Teun Koopmeiners and Kenan Yildiz. They have now collected seven points from three matches since the appointment of Tudor.

Parma Team News: Key injuries

Once again this weekend, Parma remain without Romania international attacker Valentin Mihaila due to injury alongside fellow attackers Gabriel Charpentier and Matteo Cancellieri. Yordan Osorio could make a long awaited return from a back injury.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Suzuki; Leoni, Vogliacco, Valenti; Del Prato, Adrian Bernabe, Keita, Sohm, Valeri; Marco Pellegrino, Bonny

Unavailable: Mihaila (Injured), Charpentier (Injured), Kowalski (Injured)

Questionable: Yordan Osorio (Injured), Benedyczak (Injured), Cancellieri (Injured)

Juventus Team News: Several doubts

Juventus have a few key injury doubts ahead of their trip to the Ennio Tardini this weekend with midfield duo Teun Koopmeiners and Weston McKennie both potentially unavailable alongside Renato Veiga and Kenan Yildiz.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Veiga, Kelly; Gonzalez, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Weah; Vlahovic

Unavailable: Bremer (Injured), Gatti (Injured), Juan Cabal (Injured), Milik (Injured)

Questionable: Perin (Injured), Veiga (Injured), Koopmeiners (Injured), McKennie (Injured), Mbangula (Injured), Yildiz (Injured)

Parma vs Juventus Prediction

Parma have, as mentioned, managed to push themselves away from danger of late but they have done that on the back of defensive, reactive performances. The hosts have struggled to find consistent attacking movements to provide a consistent threat and it appears just a matter of time before they come unstuck in a game and it could well be in this one against an improving Juventus side that have switched system and appear able to lock things down and yet maintain an efficiency and effectiveness in attack, albeit to a limited degree for now.

Parma vs Juventus Tip: Juventus to win & under 3.5 goals
